Game designer that pursued his dream

Last Friday, I was out at Downtown Summerlin with a group of friends. A man walked up and started talking to us about his games he was making. His name is Kenny Johnson, Kenny learned how to write code by himself and started producing his own music for his games. The man is talented at what he does and his story make it even better. Kenny  Johnson never was started making apps to one day be at the top but, if it happens it happens. He started producing games because he had the drive and the determination to make games. He loves what he does that he walked to the Downtown Summerlin mall to promote his game. Kenny is one of the most down to earth guys you will ever meet, he was honest and thankful for us supporting his game which is awesome. Kenny Johnsons story of how he taught himself how to write code and then create apps and music for them is truly inspiring. I hope that you find as much fun in these games as I did.

Let’s talk about his games.

Watermalone, is the first game that he showed us and by far the most excited he was about. Watermalone, is his newest game that he has create. All the music in the game is created by him and the entire game is created by him. The game is addicting lets get that straight. I started playing late Friday night and ever since haven’t stopped paying it. The game is addicting to play and the music is always enjoyable. It has a Christmas trap spin to it which breaks up the usual Christmas music we are all accustomed to listening to right around this time of year. The game is addicting to say none the less and costs nothing so it won’t break the bank if you’re balling on a budget.

Kolordrop, he previewed this game for not as long as Watermalone but still this game is fun to play. It gets progressively more intense as you keep leveling up. The game stars adding things to mess with your mind and adds distractions to shift your focus from the game to what is going on. I have no personally invested nearly as much time into this game as I have into Watermalone but none the less this game is still a pick up if you want a game that will test your mind.

Riverstar, oh boy when I say this game is hard, this game is one of the harder games he has created. This game takes concentration is key to the next level. The premise of the game is that you have to concentrate on the spaceship but while you’re doing that obstacles come towards you and many different light strobes and everything and anything can come at you. This game requires you, the player to have some laser focus while playing. I personally enjoy this game way to much for how many times I’ve had to put the phone down and say that I am not about to rage. But none the less one of his best games.
