Everyone loves a good cup of coffee. Well, at least for the most part. If coffee isn’t your cup of tea per se, don’t worry they have homemade lemonade and root beer too. Steamed Punk Coffee Café is a small, self-made business inside of the Fantastic Sam’s Indoor Swap Meet in Las Vegas on South Decatur Boulevard.

The café was founded by two United States veterans wanting to make a difference. Their goal is to raise enough money to one day build a facility for all veterans to go to whenever they just need a break. Whether that be to socialize or just get into the normal swing of things again. With that, a beautiful concept was born, because ultimately no one wants to be alone.

“[I] just want veterans to have a place to go when they feel lonely because I wish I had that when I got out of the military,” said one of the owners of the café.

The menu consists of homemade lemonade, root-beer, and of course, their steamed cold brew. The sizes include a small ranging from $3- $5 and a large for $10. The best part of the large is that it comes in a reusable mason jar, so every time you go back you are able to get a refill for only $2. Steamed Punk Coffee also has a few assortments of pastries to go with your drink.

I am personally not a coffee drinker, so I tried the homemade lemonade and root beer which was absolutely delicious and well worth the drive to get some. In addition, if you don’t want anything off their menu but would still like to support their cause, they also sell bracelets made of coffee beans that are made by the owners themselves. The best part is once the bracelets lose their coffee scent, you can put essential oils on them so they still have the scent of your preference.
