X-Men Origins: Wolverine Movie Review

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Movie Review

The first film in my countdown review series to Logan, The final film in which Hugh Jackman will portray the character is X-Men Origins: Wolverine. X-Men Origins: Wolverine follows the early life of wolverine, before the metal claws as we see what shapes his future as a superhero. This the #1 worst X-Men movie that happens to follow the story of the most popular hero on the team. The execution of the story is the biggest problem because the story is fine. If the movie followed the basic outline of the story it would have been a good movie. Instead the is full of choppy editing, unnecessary scenes, and poorly executed character moments and action scenes.

I think Hugh Jackman tried with what he was given but the script was pretty bad too. This movie is supposed to get some emotion out of the audience but the script kills the motional moments. Once it gets to the part where the wolverine is born the movie has already lost its footing and it basically a bomb that went off but has aftershock.

This movie managed to ruin some beloved comic book characters such as deadpool, gambit, saber tooth, and kestrel. The action scenes are also horribly directed and very shotty. The VFX is also pretty bad for a big budget action flick. This movie is a hot mess and it was really disappointing. I give X-Men Origins: Wolverine a 4/10.
