Dakota’s “Warrior Paint”.

The Crusader CraZies began in 2010 after Mrs. Buuck wanted to increase Faith’s school spirit. However, it wasn’t until the now legendary Dakota Greenwalt joined the group that it began to take off. We joined up with Dakota to get more information on his last year of being the Craziest CraZie.

Q: How did you get involved with the Crusader CraZies?

A: I got involved because I thought it sounded fun. I wanted to cheer on our teams and have fun with my friends in the stands.

Q: How did you feel when you found out that you won the first award for Crusader CraZie of the Year?

A: I was completely shocked! I loved that I was the first one to receive it.

Q: What were your favorite sporting events to go to?

A: Football and basketball. At the basketball games we had more chants but the at the football there were way more people.

Q: You are famous for your variety of intricate face designs. Which design was your favorite?

A: It was this years homecoming/spirit day face paint. It was my absolute favorite. It had the warrior feel to it. It took about a hour and 15 minutes to apply and a half an hour to take of.

Q: How do you think it will be different when you’re gone next year?

A: For me personally, I will take my craziness to college. For Faith, I hope a lot more people join so Faith can have that, “What’s their crowd going to do next” kind of thing.

Q: What are you going to miss most about being part of the group?

A: I will miss my friends and all the fun I had painting my face.
