This year’s school theme is “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”  James 1:17.

Miss Heimlich, Applied Christianity teacher, expresses her fondness for this verse and why it is our theme this year. “God showers His children with good and perfect gifts, and this verse gives us the opportunity to focus on those wonderful gifts all year long.”

The Applied Christianity class takes the opportunity to bring this theme to life every week.  “I joined Applied because three years ago I tried to get into applied but never built up the courage to get up on stage and do skits and read scripture, but now I’m actually more comfortable up on stage in front of more people. I love being in Applied and making people laugh.” Said Senior, Brandon Johnson.

“God has blessed this class with a stunning variety of gifts, They feel very strongly about sharing God’s message.” Said Heimlich.  As to what Faith Lutheran is to expect out of chapel this year, Miss Heimlich says,”We hope that this year, at the conclusion of each skit, students and teachers will never be left wondering.” She wants the message to be solid and people to leave each chapel feeling spiritually uplifted.
