An email came out to seniors explaining plans for end of the school year.

Senior year is a moment every teenage looks forward to. Starting with the first day of school all the way to graduation, and of course every moment in between. Will the class of 2020 be deprived of these special moments?

As of now according to Education Weekly, 11 states have decided to not go back for the remainder of the school year even if the pandemic clears up. Fortunately, Faith is still planning on going back after the mandatory national shut down end on May 1. Since we have decided to go back most of the special events will still occur as the staff really tried to make the end of senior year better under the given circumstances.

Principal Scott Fogo recently sent out a joyous email that cleared the air and helped relieve anxiety. No matter what Faith will still be having prom and they have two dates saved in case the intended May 2nd dates does not work. One is intended before graduation and the other will be after. The senior sunset is still on, but may be a little postponed. If we are unable to worship on May 21 for Baccalaureate, Faith will be live streaming it. Graduation is still on for the predicted date if all goes well.

“I want you to know that I am personally passionate and committed to helping make these final two months special for each of you,” said Fogo.

No matter what, Faith faculty said they understand how seniors feel, and would hate to take away something we’ve looked forward to our whole lives. Of course the circumstances of COVID- 19 are still terrible, we cannot take away how we feel about losing our senior year, but the Faith Lutheran class of 2020 is forever grateful for the effort everyone is putting in to help make the end of the year special.

Keep an eye on your email seniors for information to come.
