The Faith Lutheran Volleyball Team!

For the first time in eight years, the returning state volleyball champions, the Faith Lutheran Crusaders, started their year off with a win against Bishop Gorman on September 3.

Cayla Nikodemus and Morgan Hill led the team to victory with a combination of 33 kills. Megan Kronschnable, junior setter had 48 assists, and the most digs came from senior middle hitter Haley Vinson. Senior Jordan Dunseath, knew this was the year that they would beat Gorman, “We had the mentality that we were going to win no matter what it takes,” Dunseath said. She goes on to describe the win as “absolutely amazing.”

Coach Fisher said, “It was the same feeling that I had when we won state.”  Despite the win, they have many more obstacles to conquer.

Besides the win against Gorman, the varsity volleyball team finished ninth in the Las Vegas International tournament, winning second place in the silver division.

Thee team starts conference on Wednesday, September 10, against Spring Valley.  Their first home game is on Tuesday, September 16, at 6 p.m. Come out and support your Faith Lutheran Crusaders!
