Faith Lutheran’s annual Christmas boutique was beneficial to both Christmas shoppers and the Class of 2015. The annual boutique held on Saturday, December 6, was a great way to fund grad night, an exciting event for graduating seniors allowing them to “have a safe and protective environment for graduation,” said coordinator, Rae Paravia.

This year’s boutique hit a record high for its success. There were ten more vendors this year with a wait list of twenty-five additional vendors. The boutique made the most money it ever has in vendor sales, the bake sale, raffle tickets, and the silent auction.

For several years now volunteers put in hours of hard work and planning to raise money for the senior’s grad night, just six months away.

According to Paravia, vendors purchase an eight-foot table space for one hundred dollars and give a fifty-dollar raffle item to sell raffle tickets to generate funds for grad night.

The boutique offered “a bunch of different booths that vary from food to jewelry,” said senior, Melissa Buchholz.

Customers from all over Las Vegas come to the boutique to purchase gifts for others or splurge on themselves.

“I’m looking for gifts for my mom, dad, and my brother. There are lots of things that I see that they would like, [such as] the purses for my mom and the sports stuff for my dad and my brother” said senior, Hannah Pavlov.

Both customers and vendors enjoy supporting this event.

“It is a great way to support Faith Lutheran’s graduating seniors,” said yarn ball boutique vendor, Melissa Dawkins.

Along with supporting Faith Lutheran graduating seniors, vendors are able to promote their goods in an environment full of “Christmas spirit and excitement,” said Pavlov.

“It’s been very beneficial,” said Donald Hart, selling his novel, If Jesus had a Dog, when asked about the outcome from the event.

A big thanks goes out to volunteers who helped plan this amazing event and to the vendors and customers who spent their time and money to support the senior class.
