Starting in September of 2019, a large wildfire swept across all of Australia. Although Australia has always had bushfires, this season has been a lot worse than normal. Thousands of people have suffered from the tragedy, with their homes, possessions, and even up to thirty people having died due to the fires. That is without taking into consideration the hundreds of millions of animals that are suffering or have died. More than 16 million acres of land have gone up in flames, and the fires have reached several popular areas. The big fire is now largely contained, though dozens of others are still burning in the southeastern states, specifically New South Wales and Victoria. The fires have also produced huge amounts of heat trapping carbon emissions, and the large amounts of smoke is only worsening the situation. Please be praying for Australia as the country works to rebuild the damage done by these devastating fires.
