Chipotle and Cafe Rio are two popular restaurants for students here in Summerlin, Las Vegas. With reasonable prices and relative closeness to all of the high schools in town, these restaurants have become very popular with high school students across the Valley.

Of course with their popularity increasing, people have voiced their opinions as to which one of these chains is better then the other. Some teenagers on twitter have even gone as far to say that you are either a Chipotle person or a Cafe Rio person.

This rivalry has gone as far to define a person’s character by which restaurant they favor more. Our online poll gave us more incite on which restaurant is favored more among students at Faith Lutheran.

Contrary to the opinions on our news story, our online poll states that 60% liked Cafe Rio, and 40% favored Chipotle. With Cafe Rio being the victor in this food war, students state why they chose Cafe Rio over Chipotle.

Most of the students countered the question with the answer that the food tastes better, but one student in particular wowed us with her response. Gabby Jackson, a sophomore here at faith replied, “Personally I think that the food is better, but as a high school student the most reasonable prices are at Cafe Rio, and that is one of the reasons why I like it more.”

For most high school students they do not get an unlimited amount of money for food after school, and Cafe Rio gives our students a happy medium with reasonable prices and a superior taste in food over Chipotle.
