Sushi burrito loaded with tuna, seaweed, rice and ponzu sauce. Build your own to order at Jaburritos.

There is a new way to enjoy sushi that is taking on the Valley by a splash. A somewhat new place in town called Jaburritos. Jaburritos combines a Mexican and Japanese concept wrapping raw fish into a burrito-styled roll.

Jaburritos is located on Rainbow and Sunset and new locations of this sushi burrito craze are popping up around town. You can customize this delicious new wrap to  fit your palate.

Customers walk the assembly line where varieties of fish, seaweed , and traditional Japanese sauces are available for your choosing.  You do have the opportunity to either customize your “burrito” or choose from the menu board.

You can order anything your heart desires, they also have sides of different types of taro chips with queso.

As a new customer, I created my own and went with a spicy tuna inspired dish;  white rice, soy paper, tuna, avocado, and ponzu sauce.  I would only recommend this place if you like sushi though because it’s not like American sushi as much where the fishy taste gets drowned out by all the sauces.

As someone who actually likes the taste of raw fish, I loved it.  On Yelp, Jaburritos is on top with four and a half stars.

If you’re out looking for something new to try Jaburritos would be a good choice,  fairly priced and with great service and good fish.
